Because it is braided and coated, it offers improved handling characteristics, smoother passage through tissue, and enhanced knot security compared to uncoated braided sutures. Its undyed form allows for use in situations in which dye might interfere with visibility or tissue response. The suture is loaded on a P‑3 reverse cutting needle (13 mm, 3/8 circle), which is well suited for skin, fascia, or deeper soft tissue closures.
